HUDDERSFIELD Technical College's student radio and magazine goes online this week.

Lippy and RifRaff, which is run from the college's media department on Market Street, takes to the web tomorrow.

Both are run as part of the college's enrichment programme and aim to give students the chance to become published journalists and resident DJs hosting shows, playing music and producing radio dramas.

Student editor Stacy Johnson said: "This enrichment programme is part of our BTec national diploma in media and helps us with our professional practises.

"It also opens new and exciting opportunities for the students and helps guide them with their future aspirations. It's fun to take part in and the fact that its completely run by students makes it all the more rewarding."

Students work on both Lippy and RifRaff each Wednesday with broadcasts streamed live to different parts of the college and shows can also be heard live on the new website.
