STUDENTS from Huddersfield Technical College will host a horse show for charity this Sunday.

The event has been organised by the college's horse care and management students as part of their studies.

The show, in aid of the International League for the Protection of Horses (ILPH), will take place at Woodnook Arena in Honley.

The ILPH works to protect horses from abuse and alleviate their suffering through rehabilitating, campaigning and educating.

Classes on Sunday will be held in dressage, showjumping, ridden, in hand and working hunters.

The college's BTEC national diploma in horse care and management course teaches students about the behaviour and welfare of horses and equine science.

Subjects covered on the two-year course include riding and horse husbandry, stable management, feeding, the maintenance of the horse and grassland management.
