A NEW journal has been launched to publish research findings into mental health and learning disability services.
Huddersfield University and a local hospital trust have launched Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Research and Practice to help improve services for those who need to use them.
The journal encourages mental health and social care practitioners to share research, service and educational developments.
It welcomes contributions from service users and carers who want to share their perspectives on health care.
Dr Virginia Minogue, research and development manager for the South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust, said: "This has been a very exciting development and one of the real successes from our partnership with Huddersfield University.
"Publishing research findings in an accessible way allows us share with colleagues both locally and nationally evidence that will improve our services for those who use them.
"The journal is a testament to both organisations commitment to encouraging research and the development of evidence based practice."
