THOSE women from the WI certainly started something!
Now everyone seems to be jumping on the calendar bandwagon.
But willing local fundraisers were quite prepared to do their bit to hopefully raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The group of volunteers, many of them from Huddersfield, raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
They have raised large amounts in the past and hope to do so again with their "icon" images calendar - which, of course, relied on many of them taking their clothes off!
The glossy calendar was launched with a champagne reception in Leeds.
And the Huddersfield fundraisers started the launch in style, with a stretch limo from the George Hotel.
Rosalyn Raine, of Edgerton, is the founder of the West Yorkshire group of Breakthrough.
She shed her clothes and her inhibitions to re-create the famous petals scene from the film American Beauty.
She admits: "It was great fun.
"We had been sitting around talking about what to do and someone suggested a calendar.
"The idea took off from there, but we decided to try and re-create some famous scenes from films or iconic photos.
"So, in addition to the American Beauty shot, we have Ursula Andress coming out of the sea in the Dr No James Bond film, the famous Christine Keeler pose and shots of Marilyn Monroe.
"It was great fun making the calendar. We hope it will be very successful," added Rosalyn.
* Copies of the calendar can be bought at: Ryans Newsagents and Femme Fatale, both in Huddersfield; Mandalay furniture store at Birkby; Absolute Beauty salon, Huddersfield; and Fitness First, Lockwood.
