ENGINEERING students have been recognised for their achievements.

The 83 Kirklees College students were presented with certificates and prizes.

Principal Chris Sadler said: “Essential to the prosperity of Kirklees and the role that engineering plays is the supply of skilled, committed staff who will support their companies to produce high quality goods within their varied workplaces.

“As is often the case, the way in which these skills are developed and the right people ending up with the right skills, in the right job, with the right employer is a team effort.

“The college, employers, individuals and others all combine to ensure that local industry gets the skilled workforce it needs.”

They were supported by local firms and organisations.
