A HUDDERSFIELD store is reassuring customers that is still trading, following the closure of a firm that used its premises.
Bosses at Sleepmasters Bed Superstore say their shop will remain open for business, despite the recent closure of The Fabric Warehouse, which shared its site on Leeds Road.
Sleepmasters owns the building and operated from the upper floors, while a separate company The Fabric Warehouse leased the lower floors.
Administrators were called into Fabrics Warehouse Operations Ltd and decided to close the Huddersfield branch, along with 15 other stores.
However, Sleepmasters Bed Superstore is enjoying successful trade and is planning to expand its operation to half of its ground floor, which is now vacant. It is searching for another fabric company to take over the other half of the floorspace.
Store manager, Julian Allison, said: “We will continue trading in this building and will even be expanding. We just need people to be reassured and know that we are still here.”
