A LABOURER hanged himself from a tree, a court has ruled.
Coroner Roger Whittaker recorded thatSlaithwaite man Jeremy Bray took his own life.
The 47-year-old was discovered by a dog walker in woods off Clough House Lane on April 15.
Mr Bray, who lived with his parents at Longroyd Crescent, was found suspended by a nylon rope five feet off the ground.
A post-mortem at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary the following day found deep ligature marks around his neck.
Speaking to Mr Bray’s family at Huddersfield Coroner’s Court yesterday Mr Whittaker said: “His death would have been instantaneous, if that is of any comfort.”
The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.
He said: “I’m sure beyond a reasonable doubt that Jeremy took his own life.”
