NOT many people can claim to have the cast of a long-running BBC comedy at their birthday party, but Delia Marsden can!
The cast of Holme Valley-based Last Of The Summer Wine have been staying at Huddersfield’s Central Lodge Hotel during filming for the past 12 weeks.
And because Delia, mother of Johnny and Joe Marsden, who own the Central Lodge, is celebrating her 90th birthday in November they decided to hold an early party and invite the cast to come along.
The meal was prepared and cooked at the Central Lodge by Juliette Kaplan, who plays Pearl in the programme.
The new series is to be shown next year.
