THE body of missing pensioner Ann Colam-Ainsworth has been found by police two days after she was reported missing.

The 64-year-old had not been seen since she went missing from her Lockwood home at 6am on Thursday, January 12.

But over the weekend police confirmed that a body discovered at Riverside Stables was that of the retired carer.

Her body was discovered at around 3.45pm on Friday afternoon near the Armitage Bridge stables.

Following a formal identification and the family being informed, the coroner has confirmed that the body is that of Mrs Colam-Ainsworth.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "We would like to thank members of the public, the media and also the Colne Valley Search and Rescue Team, for their assistance in the search."
