HUNDREDS of sunseekers attended The Examiner's Travel Fair at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top.

Free transport from Huddersfield Bus Station, was provided by Longstaff Coaches of Mirfield.

They took customers to the hotel, where visitors had the chance to win a three- day break to Paris, a two-night mini cruise to Amsterdam and other prizes.

The 12 tour operators exhibited at the fair were those used by The Examiner for its travel service.

The travel fair gave customers the opportunity to pick up brochures and speak to representatives of the tour operators.

Mrs Gina Fielding, manager of Examiner Travel, said: "It has gone really well, with hundreds of customers coming along and taking brochures away with them.

"We have had hundreds of people coming along to speak to tour operators and discuss what they liked and disliked about holidays they have already been on and learn about new trips they are considering in the future."

Popular holidays included a mini cruise for four nights with P&O on the Aurora at £199, theatre breaks to London with Omega Holidays, and a two-night mini cruise to Germany with DFDS Scandinavian Seaways at £44.50.
