ZOE Lucker is back on TV screens in a new police drama series.

And it's completely opposite from her role as ultimate super bitch Tanya Turner in Footballers' Wives.

The Lindley actress plays a policewoman estranged from her detective inspector husband in Holby Blue.

Her character Kate is a grounded and selfless mum of two children she loves very much.

The character is far removed from the part which made Zoe famous.

But she was able to pass on a tip when fellow actress Sara Powell asked for a bit of advice on being bitchy.

Zoe says: "She did ask me how to deliver such cutting lines. I just said all you can do is enjoy them.

"I told her to think of all the people who have been really nasty and upset her in the past and pretend that she was speaking to them.

"People don't say nasty things unless they enjoy it."

Holby Blue will go out on BBC1.

It shares some of the same creative team behind sister dramas Holby City and Casualty.

Viewers will see the CID unit of Holby South tackle hard drugs, even harder gang members and the constant threat of terrorism.

Never-ending bureaucracy is added in to the mix.

Zoe, 33, admits to having a laugh on set when she shot some scenes with ex-EastEnders Kacey Ainsworth .

She explained: "I've had some lovely scenes with Kacey.

"During a scene she couldn't get one of her words out and, by the time she finally did, I couldn't stop laughing.

"Those moments where you start giggling and you can't stop are a nightmare because you know you're going to get into so much trouble, but you can't help it."

Zoe became a household name when she starred in Footballers' Wives from 2002 until 2006.

* Holby Blue begins on BBC 1 on Tuesday, May 8 at 8pm.
