LITTER, drug dealing and vandalism were highlighted as concerns by tenants of Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing.

Residents living in KNH properties were asked for their views about issues such as services and rent.

And they raised specific concerns about litter, dogs, drug dealing and vandalism on the estates.

KNH have now vowed to tackle the issues raised over the coming 12 months.

Simon Rogers, KNH chief executive, said: “The survey gives us an insight into how our customers view us, what we’re doing well and where we could improve.

“I’m really pleased that our customers are generally happier with our services, but I’m also aware that we’ve got more to do.

“We’ll be using the results to help us decide how we further develop and improve our services.”

The survey, carried out by independent researchers, asked residents for their views on a range of housing issues, including access to services, rent, repairs, value for money and quality.

The results will give officers a base to form future improvement work such as estate clean-ups.
