A CANCER survivor has just raised £700 for a “forgotten” charity.

Annette Hamilton organised a fun day at the Horseshoe pub in Blacker Road, Birkby, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

More than 100 people enjoyed a bouncy castle, karaoke, raffle, auction and pool tournament.

Annette was treated for bowel cancer at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary four years ago.

She said: “I wanted to help Macmillan because I think it’s a forgotten charity compared to cancer research.

“I just wanted to do my bit.”
