POLICE are questioning a man today in connection with the murder of Pc Sharon Beshenivsky in Bradford.

Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 24, was arrested in a police operation yesterday at a flat above a launderette in Cromwell Road, Newport, South Wales.

A 23-year-old man was also detained in the operation, Gwent Police said.

The two men were taken to Newport Central police station following their arrest, but were moved to West Yorkshire yesterday evening for questioning.

West Yorkshire Police are still hunting for 25-year-old Mustafa Jama.

His brother Yusuf Jama, 19, has already appeared in court charged with the murder.

Pc Beshenivsky, 38, was gunned down as she investigated a robbery at a travel agent's in Bradford on November 18.

Her colleague Pc Teresa Milburn, 37, who lives in Birstall, was seriously injured in the same incident.

The officer left a husband, three children and two stepchildren.

Her youngest child Lydia was celebrating her fourth birthday on the day she was shot.

Det Supt Geoff Ronayne said yesterday that Gwent Police had been liaising with their counterparts in West Yorkshire.

A £90,000 reward has been offered for the arrest and conviction of the killers.
