YOU can swap an outfit and support a good cause in the process.
Breast Cancer Haven’s Yorkshire Appeal is hosting a fashion swap “swishing” party at Sunflowers Lingerie Shop in Lindley on May 1.
The idea is to raid your wardrobe for unwanted clothes, shoes, and accessories, and bring three items to swap with others while enjoying refreshments.
The event is part of Breast Cancer Haven’s £2.2m appeal to open a new centre in Leeds in September.
Julie Harrington, Yorkshire Appeal Manager, said: “I’m bringing a couple of suits that I’ve bought, loved, and now can’t fit in!
“We’ll have a couple of stylists there as well who’ll be helping people to choose new stuff.”
Nearly 4,000 women in Yorkshire are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Breast Cancer Haven already has sites in London and Hereford.
The Leeds Haven will provide support, information and therapies such as yoga to sufferers, and also their families and friends.
Tickets for the swishing party cost £5.
