From swilling to swimming for wine bar owners

TWO Colne Valley wine bar owners are swapping their beer taps for swimming caps and taking the plunge for charity.

Pamela Wilkinson and Victoria Tillotson, of the Little Bridge Wine Bar in Slaithwaite, are taking on the Jane Tomlinson Swim For All at Pugney’s Country Park, Wakefield, to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice.

They are currently training at Titanic Spa, Linthwaite. Both will swim 1,500 metres in the lake at Pugney’s on Sunday, July 10.

Kirkwood Hospice community fundraiser Suzanne Barton said: “We are delighted that they have offered to swim for us.”
