SWIMMERS made a splash for good causes at the annual Denby Dale Lions charity swim.
The event took place at Scissett Baths on Sunday.
Sixteen teams entered the event – meaning a maximum number of entrants for the first time in the swim’s three-year history.
Each team was sponsored for their chosen charity and had to spend an hour in the water.
Teams were made up of people from all age groups.
Linton Bentley, of organisers Denby Dale Lions, said: “The idea is that we create the event to allow people to raise funds for their chosen charity.
“It is getting more popular and gets better every year.”
Last year, the teams raised £4,000 between them and were hoping for a similar total this year.
