POLICE probing the murder of a wealthy businessman are searching a farmhouse in Liversedge.

Officers - backed up by soldiers using specialist search equipment - swooped on empty Thornbush Farm off Miry Lane yesterday.

They are believed to be looking for items stolen when John Luper was killed in Leeds.

Mr Luper was attacked outside his home in Alwoodley, Leeds, late on February 16.

The 57-year-old was a prominent businessman and Freemason and had many friends and colleagues in Huddersfield.

A £70,000 reward is on offer for information.
