A CHARITIES fair was held at the Syngenta premises in Leeds Road, Deighton.

Ten local charities went along to meet employees at the firm and explain their work in Huddersfield.

And now staff at the firm are deciding how to allocate the £8,000 they have collected in their charity fund.

Several of the charities also recruited Syngenta staff as volunteers to work with them in the new year.

Staff took along Secret Santa gifts which are to be donated to the National Children’s Centre.

The employees’ charity fund members, from right, Carl Sykes, Jane Denton, Wayne Dyson and Steve Donaghey are pictured handing over the £8,000 cheque to representatives of local charities.
