A TEA party will be held in an unlikely location to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
War-torn Iraq will host the event as part of the Tea for Two Million appeal, launched in September to fund the ambulance.
Soldiers from the East and West Riding Regiment Territorial Army, which is heading for Basra, hope to organise an event as part of the appeal.
Some 120 members of the regiment are preparing for a stint in the troubled city, where they will support allied troops fighting to keep peace.
There are a number of troops from Huddersfield among the group.
Pam Thornes, air ambulance regional fundraising manager, said: "Hundreds of tea parties have been held across Yorkshire and we would be delighted if the Territorial Army managed to host an event while they were in Iraq."
