EMPTY paracetamol packets that had held hundreds of tablets were found at the home of a woman killed by an overdose.

Helen Wharton, 37, of Savile Walk, Dewsbury, could have taken up to 220 pills, a Huddersfield inquest was told yesterday.

She told a friend she had taken the overdose on January 7 - but only allowed herself to be admitted to Dewsbury District Hospital two days later.

She died on January 11.

Mrs Wharton had a history of heroin and cocaine use.

A post-mortem found neither drug in her body but traces of anti- depressants were found.

Coroner Roger Whittaker recorded a verdict that Mrs Wharton killed herself.
