TRAFFIC ground to a halt on a major road after this lorry got stuck.
The HGV became trapped after hitting a manhole cover on Huddersfield Road in Meltham Mills at 2.30pm.
The road was blocked in both directions causing long tailbacks.
Police and Kirklees Council’s Highways department were called to the incident, which happened near the household waste and recycling tip in Bent Ley Road.
