A fast food takeaway in Huddersfield that was shut down under an emergency court order has been allowed to reopen.
The enforcement notice was served on the Chunky Steak House in Manchester Road early last week after magistrates were told it was found to be littered with mouse droppings when an environmental health officer called to check.
The takeaway serves pizzas, burgers, kebabs and fried chicken.
The premises have now been cleaned and is back in business following an all-clear given by an environmental health officer late last week.
A Kirklees Council spokesman said: “I can confirm that an environmental health officer visited Chunky Steak House last week to assess if the health risk had gone. That officer determined the risk had gone and allowed the business to reopen.”
