VISITORS to Brighouse Art Gallery will get the chance to talk about bygone days next month.
Past Times and Memory Lane will mix local history readings with artworks on display by members of the Hipperholme and Lightcliffe Art Society.
Those who attend the event at the Halifax Road gallery will be invited to share comments and memories evoked by the readings.
Anne Hewland, Calderdale Council's Reading and You bibliotherapist for Elland and Brighouse will give the readings.
Gallery curator Robert Goulding will give a talk on local history with the emphasis on past mayors of Brighouse.
Group librarian for Brighouse, Jayne Watkinson, is to display archive material.
The event takes place on Friday, September 10 between 2pm and 3pm.
