THE future of a school's sixth form is to be discussed at a public meeting on Monday.

The sixth form at All Saints RC High School, Bradley Bar, is set to close because of falling student numbers.

The governors have produced a consultation document that is available from the school office in Bradley Road.

Student numbers for the sixth form have plunged over recent years, falling to just 76 last year.

In previous years it had been double that.

If the plan to close it goes ahead it will leave Shelley High as the only Kirklees Council school with a sixth form in the Huddersfield area.

Other places where pupils can take A and AS-levels are Huddersfield New College, the Technical College and Greenhead College, Huddersfield.
