A HIGH-FLYING girl has picked up a present for her charity work.

Megan Lister, 10, from Outlane, has been given a surprise pilot teddy bear by staff at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance after she sent off £46 she raised by completing a sponsored walk.

She covered a nine-mile route from Bridlington to Flamborough with her family in October

Megan, who goes to Outlane Junior and Infant School, is pictured receiving the bear from school deputy head Anne Parker.

Proud mum Julie, 36, said her daughter was enthralled by the air ambulance.

"It came to her school and she really enjoyed it," she said. "Then we have seen them practising rescues. It has really caught her imagination.

"You normally get a certificate for fundraising, so when she received the bear she was thrilled.

"It's such a great cause to raise money for."
