A GANG of women attacked and robbed a lone woman in Huddersfield.

The four female thugs attacked the woman in Longroyd Bridge, stealing cash and jewellery.

Now detectives in Huddersfield CID are appealing for witnesses after the attack on Tuesday.

It was about 7.15pm as the 45-year old woman was walking along Manchester Road in the Longroyd Bridge area of Huddersfield when she was approached by the four women.

They surrounded her and made demands for her property, assaulting her before stealing jewellery and cash.

During the attack, the victim managed to break free and run away from her attackers and contact the police.

The suspects are described as being four white women aged between 18 and 20.

One was approximately 5’7” to 5’8” tall, of slim build, with dark hair that was tied back in a bobble. She had dark brown eyes and a pierced tongue and was wearing a white hooded top with a full length zip and silver logo on the front. She also had a tattoo on her left wrist which had some blue and red colouring to it.

The second suspect was around 5’8”-5’10” tall, of athletic build with blond, streaky shoulder-length hair. She had a metal coloured ring through her nostril, a bar through her left eyebrow, multiple piercings through both her ears and wore a black hooded jacket with a full length zip and a white tick logo on the shoulder area.

The third suspect had jet black hair, was 5’6” tall and of slim build, wearing a black cross pendant on a chain around her neck, as well as a dark coloured top and dark coloured three quarter length trousers.

The final suspect could only be described as being 5’6” tall, slim and with dark coloured hair and dark clothing.
