A TEENAGER hurt in a road accident in Meltham was lucky to escape serious injury.
Huddersfield Road in Meltham was sealed off after the 17-year-old pedestrian was hurt in the accident shortly before 8am on Tuesday.
She was in collision with a car .
At first police reported that the pedestrian was 35.
The youngster from Meltham has not been named but her grandmother said: “At first we were worried that she was badly injured but it turned out to be just cuts and bruises.
“She is now at home recovering”.
