A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was assaulted by a man in his 70s in the centre of Meltham.

The attack happened at about 2pm on Monday when the girl was having a cigarette outside the Co-op store on Huddersfield Road.

She was approached by two men in their 70s and one of the pair made an inappropriate comment.

The man then grabbed her by the clothing around her chest, pulling the teenager towards him. He then let the girl go and both men walked away.

The man was white and in his 70s, with new-looking teeth and also smoking. He was wearing a blue/green 3/4-length jacket and a black blazer. The second man was also in his 70s, but played no part in the assault.
