A knife-wielding robber stole a teenager’s mock designer handbag.

Now police are looking for a teenage boy in connection with the robbery in Batley.

The incident happened at Hyrstlands Road between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday.

The 17-year-old girl was with her boyfriend when the thief approached them and grabbed her forearm and handbag.

During the scuffle she noticed he had a knife in his hand.

He threatened to stab both of them and she left go of the handbag, described as mock Gucci.

The suspect is described as a white teenager aged between 17 and 18, 5ft 8in and of chubby.

He was wearing a black hooded top with white stripes and a black scarf covering his mouth and nose.

The victim received a slight injury but did not need hospital treatment.
