A TEENAGER has been charged after a spate of vandalism at a plant-hire firm.

Police confirmed yesterday that Jordan Cooper, 18, has been charged in connection with the incident at KPH Plant hire in Birstall.

Tens of thousands of pounds damage was caused by intruders who got into the plant hire premises on March 7, and drove vehicles around the yard. Cooper, of Wilson Road, Batley, will appear at Dewsbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 24.

Also, a 17-year old local youth was yesterday given a four-month detention and training order by the Youth Courts after being found guilty of profiting from the sale of a number of sat-nav systems that were found to have been stolen in the incident at KPH.
