Teen on OAP theft charge
A TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of stealing from an elderly man. John Hanrahan, 19, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday. He is accused of taking part in a distraction burglary at the 81-year-old’s Kirkheaton home. Hanrahan lives at Mary Street Caravan Site in Bradford. Magistrates decided that the case should be dealt with by Leeds Crown Court. Hanrahan will first appear at the Huddersfield court on January 18. His bail conditions are residence, non-contact with witnesses and that he does not enter Regent Road in Kirkheaton.
