A TEENAGER suffered a broken ankle in a motiveless attack.

The 18-year-old had just left the Shell garage on Oxford Road in Gomersal and was walking to the nearby White Horse pub at 8.30pm on Saturday when four men and two women confronted him.

One of the men swore at him and punched him to the ground.

He then punched the victim again.

Nothing was stolen and the victim was treated for his injuries at Dewsbury District Hospital.

The attacker is white, aged 17 or 18 and about 5ft 10in tall, with very short fair or ginger hair. He wore a light- coloured, long-sleeved top.

One of the other men is also white, aged 17 or 18, tall and slim. He has short dark hair and was wearing a blue and white jumper with horizontal stripes and a dark baseball cap.
