A teenager was sexually assaulted in a Calderdale park.

The 19-year-old victim was walking alone when a young male approached her from behind and assaulted her in Shroggs Park, Halifax, on Saturday afternoon.

When the victim turned round he exposed himself to her before making off.

The suspect is described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 5ins, of slim build and with a gaunt face and local accent.

Det Con Louise Halliwell, of Calderdale CID, said: “This has been a traumatic incident for the victim.”
