A MAN aged 19 was due before Huddersfield magistrates today to face charges in connection with a firework attack on a Yorkshire terrier.

Steven Robinson, of Linthwaite, has been charged with outraging public decency by putting fireworks on the dog last October.

Robinson lives in Pennine Gardens, Linthwaite.

The magistrates are expected to transfer his case to the crown court.

The case centres on an incident in Gilroyd Lane, Linthwaite, when Emmie, a Yorkshire terrier, was found dead.
