The incident took place on Wednesday, 3 August, between 11pm and midnight at a property on Spaines Road, Fartown.
The suspect knocked on the door of the house and asked if they had ordered any food - five other suspects then entered the property holding weapons and demanding money.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was punched and kicked before the suspects made off with a large amount of cash, mobile phone, jewellery and credit cards.
The first suspect is described as a white man, skinny build, around 35-years-old, black hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing a short black jacket and had a T-shirt underneath.
Three of the other suspects are described as tall and slim West Indian men.
Det Con Andy Clayton, of Kirklees CID, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim after these men entered their home.
