A FORMER head chef at the Castle Hill Hotel was told by his boss Barry Thandi that his hands and legs could be broken, it was revealed today.
The conversation was secretly recorded by Zahir Khan and used in his successful case for unfair dismissal against Barry and Mick Thandi.
Now Mr Khan has talked for the first time about his bitter tribunal battle with the Thandis.
The Examiner today reveals the secretly-taped meeting when Barry Thandi put pressure on Mr Khan and his family to drop a court action against a local doctor.
Mr Khan's wife Ravinder was suing the Thandis' GP, Dr Satisha Handa, for unfair dismissal from her job at his surgery in Green Road, Fartown.
But at one meeting to resolve the problem, Barry Thandi said Mr Khan could have his hands and legs broken.
Details of the allegations were contained in evidence presented to the tribunal, in which Mr Khan was victorious.
Dr Handa strongly denies any involvement, and claims the Thandis are his patients not his friends and he has never been involved in any threatening behaviour.
