A NEW MILL boy has been ranked 25th in the country for his maths ability.
Daniel Auton scored 87% in the preliminary round of the UK Junior Mathematical Olympiad.
Daniel was 12 at the time of the exam, although most of the other 500,000 contenders were 13.
He won a book, a certificate of distinction and a silver medal.
He is a pupil at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield.
