WORKERS all over Huddersfield dug deep to raise £5,759 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Bring £1 To Work Day was a huge success in the town.
Efforts were almost double last year's total of £3,000.
Big spenders included Holset Engineering staff, who gave £1,032, and Sainsburys with £1,300.
Many of the companies and organisations that signed up were listed in Tuesday's Examiner.
Others included B&Q on Leeds Road; H W Architectural at Brighouse; the sewing and linen room and pharmacy departments at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary; Megabites in Marsh; Merrydale Farm Shop, Slaithwaite; M&M Sykes, Ainley Place, Slaithwaite; Next in Kingsgate; and Fitness First at Lockwood Park.
The day was held with support from the Examiner and radio station Home 107.9.
