A MAN was woken up by his house alarm to see a thief riding off on his expensive mountain bike.
The intruder had forced a garage door at the house at Swallow Lane, Golcar, at 5am today.
This triggered the alarm, but the thief escaped on the £1,400 blue and gold Claude Butler Enduro bike.
He was last seen heading towards Banks Road.
