A SHOPLIFTER made a quick getaway - after he had been caught.

Two men were seen putting champagne into a bag at the Co-op store on Westbourne Road, Marsh, at 7.45pm on Saturday.

Security staff challenged them and one escaped.

The other was taken to a security room upstairs. But he managed to get out of a window and flee.

He was white, aged 17 or 18 and 5ft 11in tall, with short, mousy hair.

He was skinny, with a spotty complexion and wore a green hooded top with black sleeves.

His accomplice was white, possibly called Sam, and 5ft 9in tall, with short, brown hair. He wore a black T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.
