A WOMAN accused of stealing clothing from town centre shops has appeared in court.
Sheila Donohue, of Thornton Lodge, was before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday. She has admitted stealing three jumpers worth £104 from TK Maxx on January 7.
However she denies going equipped for theft and stealing two pairs of jeans from Bon Marche on the same date.
Magistrates were told that Donohue, 55, also failed to attend court to be sentenced for a separate theft at Sainsbury’s.
Vanessa Schofield, prosecuting, asked magistrates to remand Donohue in custody which they agreed to.
Donohue will next appear the court via a prison video link on January 12.
