THREE bus passengers were hurt when a driver had to brake hard to avoid a crash.

The Yorkshire Traction bus was being driven on Wakefield Road in Moldgreen towards Huddersfield town centre when the incident happened at 11.30am yesterday.

The driver told police he had to brake sharply after a Mini car suddenly braked in front of him.

Three passengers who were standing up were thrown forward and hurt.

A 75-year-old woman from Edinburgh suffered a cut knee.

A 40-year-old woman from Fenay Bridge suffered a twisted ankle and her 12-year-old son had a cut arm.
