Two men and a woman were arrested last night in connection with a broad-daylight stabbing in Huddersfield.

And detectives investigating the incident are still hunting a fourth man who is known to them.

Police were called to Garforth Street, close to the River Colne at Aspley at 4pm yesterday after a man was found injured in nearby Colne Street.

The area was sealed off after the incident following reports a firearm may have been spotted.

Armed police were tasked to the scene.

The victim was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and has since been referred for treatement today at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

Meanwhile officers are continuing to seek the whereabouts of a fourth suspect.

Det Insp Stef Wiseman of Huddersfield CID said: “Two men and women were arrested last night on suspicion of robbery, firearms and drug offences.

“A fourth suspect is outstanding.

“The injured man is receiving treatment for arm injuries today at Bradford Hospital.

“A number of lines of inquiry are being followed up and we would appeal for any witnesses to come forward.”
