THREE women have been arrested in Huddersfield over an alleged organised shoplifting racket.

The trio, aged 24, 31, and 43 and from Bradford, are alleged to have been involved in thefts at shopping centres across the north of England.

The Trafford Centre in Manchester, Meadowhall in Sheffield, the Metro Centre in Gateshead and York Designer Outlet are all thought to have been targeted.

About £1,500-worth of suspected stolen goods was seized after they were arrested on Bradford Road in Hillhouse on Sunday.

It came after an alleged incident at BHS in the town centre.

All three are on bail pending further inquiries.
