Three youths and a man have been arrested following an alleged road rage incident at the weekend which left a 25-year-old man fighting for his life.

The incident occurred at 6.15pm on Saturday in the car park outside Birstall Shopping Park.

Police say initially there was a minor collision between two vehicles which resulted in the 25-year-old grabbing hold of the front passenger window of a Seat Leon as it started to drive off at speed.

The vehicle was then driven towards a parked Nissan Navara causing the victim to collide with the vehicle and fall to the ground.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where his condition is described as “critical but stable.”

Four people have been arrested in connection with this incident.
