A THUG got out of a car to rob a 68-year-old woman.

Three men were in a black car which drew up alongside the victim in Commercial Street in the middle of Brighouse at 10.45am yesterday.

One got out and grabbed the victim by her shoulder, then took £120 and a cashcard from her hand.

He got back in the car, which sped off.

The victim, who lives in Brighouse, was shocked, but unhurt.

Police need anyone - possibly shoppers - who can give them a better description of the car or the thieves to come forward.

Det Insp John Mountain, of Calderdale CID, said: "The car may have been in the town centre for a while and people could have noticed it and the people in it."

The thief who got out of the car is white, in his late teens and 5ft 10in tall, with short fair hair.

His two accomplices are both white and in their late teens.

Anyone with any information about the theft is urged to contact the Calderdale police helpdesk on 01422 337059.
