TWO men were beaten up when they went to investigate a car alarm.

One was left badly injured in the attack near Heckmondwike.

The victims, aged 45 and 33, were in a house on Redfern Avenue, Nunroyd, when they heard the alarm go off.

They went outside and approached two men who were walking away from the car.

The men attacked the victims and a car then pulled up and more thugs joined in.

The 45-year-old suffered serious facial injuries and the other man was slightly hurt.

The two men they challenged are both white.

One is in his early 20s, 6ft tall and stocky, with shaved brown ginger hair.

He wore a faded denim jacket.

His accomplice is in his mid-20s, 5ft 8in tall and stocky, with short, dark, spiky hair.

The incident happened at 9.30pm on Sunday.
