TWO men are being hunted – after threatening to stab a man’s dog.

Police are treating the incident as blackmail after the pair robbed the victim in Almondbury.

The 30-year-old man was walking his dog in a small park off Somerset Road at 7.15am on December 8 when he was stopped by the two men. One was masked and was armed with a knife.

He threatened to stab the man’s dog unless he handed over his property.

Fearing that his dog would be harmed, the victim handed over the £8 in cash that he had on him at the time.

Both men were described as Afro-Caribbeans. One was around 6ft 2ins tall, in his 30s and well-built. He wore a dark hooded top and had a scarf over the lower half of his face.

The second suspect was slim, around 5ft 6ins tall and wore dark clothing.

Witnesses should contact Det Con Andy Clayton on 01484 436524.
