DRIVERS faced problems on roads in and out of Elland today because of a landslide.

Rock slide at Elland

DRIVERS faced problems on roads in and out of Elland today because of a landslide.

Highways engineers closed part of the Calderdale Way, running from Elland up to Ainley Top, because of safety fears after last night's rockslide.

The downhill stretch into Elland remained unaffacted.

Diversions were brought in via Lowfields Lane and Huddersfield Road.

The road was due to be re-opened at 4pm today (Thursday).
